There’s more to glass than meets the eye.
In some cases, replacement of the entire windshield is not necessary. As one of the Twin Cities' leading autoglass shops, we can fix bullseyes or starbursts caused by rocks and other materials without removing the glass, eliminating the risk of leaking or bonding problems sometimes associated with replacement. The process involves filling the damaged area with special clear adhesive resin. The resin is then cured with an ultraviolet light. When done properly, the damaged area’s strength is restored, as is most of the clarity.
However, if the damage is in the sightline of the driver, or in the wiper area of the windshield, the windshield should be replaced.
